Merry Christmas from Heart in Africa and the children of the Nice View Children’s Village

Dear friends of Heart in Africa,

The days are short and the year is rapidly drawing to a close. We at “Heart in Africa” are already very much in the Christmas spirit, not least because of our Christmas markets.

Let us immerse ourselves together in a contemplative and joyful Advent season, in which we enjoy the reflective moments of this special time with open hearts and full of confidence and get in the mood for the coming Christmas.

Christmas markets

As always, the Christmas markets in Münchenstein and Aesch were a very special experience – atmospheric, festive and full of warm encounters. The twinkling lights, the smell of mulled wine, the Christmas music and the lovingly decorated stalls made the markets a truly magical Advent experience. But that’s not all! We spontaneously decided to also take part in the Advent market around Mariastein Abbey on the weekend of December 14 and 15. A wide range of activities for young and old awaits visitors and culinary delights will also be well catered for

We would be delighted if you would visit us at the Mariastein Advent market! Once again this year, we will donate the entire net proceeds from our stall profits to our heart project, the “Nice View Children’s Village” in Kenya. Your visit supports this wonderful project and helps to sustainably improve the lives of many children in Kenya. Come along, let’s enjoy the festive atmosphere together and do something good at the same time!

If you prefer to do your Christmas shopping from the comfort of your own home, you are also welcome to visit our store to browse for suitable gifts. There you will also find our popular Africa calendars, currently both the A3 wall calendar and the sustainable desk calendar with wooden base are still available.

We would like to thank everyone for their great support, especially the hard-working helpers who, as always, gave us such great support and relieved us at the stands. They were great, successful and atmospheric weekends.

We are continuing the lovely tradition with our Christmas cards and this year dear Kahindi, a former Nice View child, has designed and painted the card for us. With this colorful picture we wish you a bright end of the year, a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and happy 2025.
