Merry Christmas from Heart in Africa and the children of the Nice View Children’s Village

Review

Christmas markets

Over the last two weekends, the alleyways of Münchenstein and Aesch were once again transformed into atmospheric Christmas markets: Lovingly decorated market stalls and twinkling lights create a warm and inviting atmosphere and give the market a romantic feel. The smell of mulled wine and chestnuts invites you to warm up in the frosty temperatures and snowflakes dance softly to Christmas music, adding to the cozy Christmas atmosphere.

In the middle of it all, we present our African-Christmas decorated Christmas stand as “Heart in Africa”: funny, colorful and whimsical clay birds, cute gnomes, feather-light wire angels, our traditional Africa calendars, Christmas cards, gift / voucher handbags and much more. In addition to the successful sales, we are delighted with the many familiar faces that visit us again, as well as the exciting conversations with interested people to whom we can introduce our association and our heart project “the Nice View Children’s Village”.

We would like to thank everyone for their great support, especially the hard-working helpers who, as always, supported us so well and also helped us out at the stands. It was a great, successful and atmospheric two weekends.

Asante Sana!

Radio play

Lavender talks about her life before and in Nice View

We highly recommend the following radio play: take a quarter of an hour this Christmas and listen to the impressive story of Lavender – a story that moves and encourages us in our work.

Lavender found her way to Nice View in 2008. Today she teaches at Nice View School and is a member of the school management team.
You can find out why she ran away from “home” and what she learned at Nice View in the following radio play (written by Wiebke Bromberg, edited and set to music by Matthias Braun).

Merry Christmas

and a happy 2024

The year 2023 was another eventful one, characterized by many negative and sad headlines around the world. Fortunately, however, there were also many positive events that brought joy to us all.
We at the Heart in Africa Association were particularly pleased to receive such great support from so many generous people like you. Thanks to your donations and help, we can support our heart project, the Nice View Children’s Village in Kenya, and help to provide the children there with a home and an education. In this way, the children can grow into self-confident adults and are given the prospect of mastering their lives independently and realizing their dreams in their home country.

Dear friends, members and patrons of Heart in Africa. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us so generously again this year . None of this would be possible without your help.
Together with the children of Nice View, we wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas. We wish everyone health, peace and happiness for the coming year.
We are certain that together we will be able to bring about positive change and help many children in 2024.

Asante Sana – Thank you very much – Your Heart in Africa Team!
